DESIGN PROCESS

Discover Your Needs

The first step to a quality landscape is to determine the homeowners needs and wishes, and analyze the site to discover what methods can be used to solve the problems in and around the site.

Drawing The Plan

We measure and photograph the site, take notes on slope, soil and drainage issues, climate, existing plants, and conditions in the surrounding gardens. With this information, we draw the Preliminary Plan, including pathways, patios or decks, new structures and general planting areas. We will meet with you to go over the plan and give you a chance to study and make amendments to it. The final Master Plan is then drawn and copies are made and delivered to you.

Implementation Of The Design

You will be given a copy of the Master Plan which can be used in pricing materials and obtaining competitive bids from contractors. We suggest qualified contractors to those who request it. We can meet with the contractor that has been selected to go over the plan and answer any questions they may have. We can also oversee the installation of the garden and work as your advocate to ensure no details are lost.

Maintenance

Once the garden is installed, it requires regular and proper maintenance. We consult with many homeowners about proper techniques in amending soils, pruning, mulching, mowing, fertilizing, weed control, and general plant maintenance.
